Gran Saga: Unlimited Testing Outline

Get more details about the first GSU community test in March plus additional GSU tests

Hello Pixels!

The first community test for Gran Saga: Unlimited is rapidly approaching and we can feel the anticipation growing!

Our first test will focus on the core gameplay of Gran Saga: Unlimited and we can’t wait for you to play!

In late March we’ll be inviting 500 community testers to try out GSU and give feedback, so we want to share an outline of the 1st Community Test and details such as system requirements, as well as an outline of future testing phases.

Details of the 1st Community Test

You will need a Gran Saga: Unlimited On-chain Achievement Token (GSU OAT) from our prior Galxe campaign to submit an entry to become a community tester.

METAPIXEL Crew3 Leaderboard rankings will then be used to categorize the entries into tiers to draw from, with greater weighting to people higher on the Leaderboard. The Top 100 entrants will be guaranteed a tester spot (METAPIXEL staff and Discord moderators will be excluded from the rankings).

There will be a snapshot of the METAPIXEL Crew3 Leaderboard taken on Mar 13, 2023, 2am (UTC+0), and the test will commence later in March after community testers have been confirmed.

Some additional spots will be granted for collaborations — these will not take any spots away from the 500 reserved exclusively for community testers.

A pre-testing site will open next week along with a full announcement of the test details, with an AMA about GSU and the first test to follow for the community to find out more.

Additionally, we will be running multiple events for both testers and non-testers during the first community test.

What’s the focus of this test?

The upcoming test in March will be the first testing phase and as such, will have the smallest number of testers and a more limited scope than future tests.

This test’s focus will be on: introducing the world of GSU, experiencing core GSU gameplay (exploration, co-op play and in-game trading) and an early preview of our platform (membership and launcher functions). Web3 features will not be included in this phase of Gran Saga: Unlimited testing.

Multiple testing phases coming in the future

However, we are very aware that there is high interest in testing GSU and seeing development progress, which is why we will be running multiple testing phases until GSU’s full launch later in 2023.

Don’t worry if you miss out this time, there will be more opportunities in the future. We will be expanding the number of testers and scope of content and features in each phase as well.

Wen?

The second testing phase of GSU will occur in Q2 of 2023, and will allow testers to experience more of the game, and the overall number of testers will be increased from the first community test.

The third testing phase will occur before the official GSU launch later in 2023 and will involve an even higher number of testers.

Geographic Restrictions

GSU’s 1st Community Test will not be available to IP addresses located in countries where blockchain services are prohibited or where METAPIXEL has not yet been granted the required content rating classification.

The exact list of restricted countries will be confirmed via the METAPIXEL Medium closer to testing commencement.

Server Location

The server location during the first GSU community test will be in East Asia. More servers will be opened accordingly in the future.
